Before the United States was involved in World War II, many Jews suffered at the hands of Nazi Germany all in the name of genocide and so called supremacy. This is a tale of a Christian Ukrainian couple who took in Jewish children not only to harbor them, but to make them their own. The small village of Kanev lies on the outskirts of Kiev, Ukraines capitol, near the banks of the Dnieper River; this is the setting for The Royal Ruby.
